Thunder and lightning rolled in early that Saturday morning, threatening to spoil the day.  I was a bit nervous that the weather would spoil our boat reception fun but…hours later the gorgeous summer sun popped through those clouds in celebration for Chris and Christina’s wedding day.

They met on “e-harmony heaven”, as I like to call it…these two really were a perfect match.  I asked Christina what it was about Chris’s profile that caught her attention and she immediately replied that it was his love for Jesus!  They also soon realized that they both had a passion and desire for medical missions.  It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful ways that God brings two people together for His purposes.  I know these two will do great things together, not just because they are awesome people (and trust me, they are!) but because they seek to rely on God and serve Him in all their ways.

One of my favorite moments from this wedding was the “first look”.  I absolutely LOVE when couples decide to do this!  I think it is so sweet to have that special moment when you see each other for the first time the day of the wedding.  I love how eagerly this groom waits to turn around and see his bride for the first time!

I loved photographing some of the details of this wedding.  Christina’s dress was gorgeous and her jewelry just the right touch!

After the wedding we headed to Fontana, WI to take a boat cruise around Lake Geneva!  Being out on the water was brilliant as we got to watch the sun set!  We started the reception off with toasts on the top deck and then headed to the lower deck for the cake cutting and dinner.  

To top off the gorgeous evening.  The boat was welcomed with fireworks at its return.  I think we all know they were meant especially for Chris and Christina!  Congratulations you two.  I’m truly honored to have been able to capture your special day!
