Kristen and Steve were such a wonderful couple to work with.  Both were so easy going and fun to be around.  I just loved getting to know them and their love story!  Kristen and Steve met in college…at a karaoke bar!  Maybe it was each others singing or perhaps just the fact that they enjoyed a similar activity…either way, Kristen and Steve had no idea that special day at the bar would one day lead them to a life of happiness together!

I loved shooting Kristen as she got ready!  She was so incredibly happy the entire day…no stress…no tears! Her gorgeous hair and make-up done by the fabulous Michelle Martorano.

 

When I was shooting her bouquet, I had no idea until later that she had asked her florist at “Designs by Carol” to add some lace from her mother’s wedding dress to her bouquet!

 

At the wedding, each pew had a picture from their parents’, grandparents’ and great-grandparents’ weddings!

 

Their wedding ceremony was conducted by Steve’s childhood friend!  How sweet is that?!  I loved how she presented them with a large picture of a tree that represents God as our roots and foundation that allows us to blossom into a beautiful and strong tree in marriage!

After the ceremony we headed off to Long Grove to take some beautiful pictures at a nearby park and then we headed to the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove to take more pictures and also enjoy the beautiful reception.

Don’t you just love the purple up-lighting provided by AMP DJ Services and the beautiful cake by Central Continental Bakery?!

The end to a beautiful evening began with their first dance to “Marry Me” by Train
