I’m so excited to share with you all some of my favorite photos from Michelle and Quincy’s Cheney Mansion Wedding in Oak Park. Michelle happens to be one of my best friend’s little sister, so I was incredibly thrilled and honored to be asked to photograph her wedding!

When I met up with Michelle and Quincy to shoot their engagement session, I asked about how they met and fell in love! These two happened to be in the same church small group and their love blossomed from the beautiful friendship that they built. What I loved most about seeing these two interact was just how secure and comfortable they were around each other. This showed even more on their wedding day. As most brides are, I could tell Michelle was a little nervous on her wedding day but all of that melted away though as soon as she walked down that aisle and stood next to her groom.

I was SO excited to be able to photograph their ceremony at their Cheney Mansion wedding. If you haven’t visited this historic mansion, you should! It is just beautiful!! It’s hard to believe that someone would need a house that big to live in but I’m so glad that now it’s being used to bless awesome couples when they say their vows! Michelle got ready in one of the rooms upstairs. The light in there was just perfect! She also surprised me with bringing out 2 wedding dresses!! Who wouldn’t want to photograph that?!
